Air conditioner at gym causing air quality problems

I’ve kept a gym membership for the last six years.

  • The gym is located along my route to work, making it super convenient.

I set an early alarm plus workout every day for approximately an hour. My workout program combines high intensity cardio with strength training. I take the time to thoroughly stretch my muscles plus work on flexibility plus balance. Once I’ve completed the workout, I use the locker room to shower plus dress for work. I know that I’m way more productive, have a more positive outlook plus avoid lots of health problems because of my dedication to physical fitness, but however, early last summer, I was suffering from yearly headaches, constant sneezing, congestion plus sore throat. At first, I thought I was coming down with a chilly or flu. Then I realized that my symptoms developed at the gym plus disappeared after a few hours at work. I figured out that my health complaints coincided with the beginning up of the air conditioner at the gym. The cooling plan was absolutely creating problems with indoor air conditions. It’s not unrespected for mold, mildew plus bacteria to thrive inside the hot, damp inner workings of an air conditioner. Every time the cooling plan operates, it can spread contaminants into the breathing air. I complained to the management of the gym, plus they assured me that they would have the air conditioner checked out. When I arrived at the gym the following day, there was an HVAC corporation working on the cooling system. Whatever he did fixed the problem. All of my health complaints went away completely.
