HVAC maintenance is totally worthwhile

I can’t be the only one who is always in search of as much value for every dollar spent.

When I spend my money, I want to be sure that it for stuff that I get something out of.

I have never been a fan of the impulse buy. There are plenty of people who relax in the HVAC comfort of home while enjoying online retail therapy. That’s fine and I’m certainly not here to judge. It’s just not something that I can embrace. If I’m spending my money, it’s on stuff that is necessary or things that I have thoroughly researched. This approach is sometimes attacked and derided by friends of mine. One of the prongs of such attacks is the fact that I spend money on HVAC maintenance. And I will do so for as long as I am a homeowner. HVAC is just too essential a component not to invest in it’s longevity and efficiency. But, I have neighbors and friends who are eager to tell me that I am throwing my money away. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Today’s modern HVAC is still well built and manufactured for the long haul. However, these machines are also delicate and need maintenance to ensure they are producing optimal efficiency. Additionally, HVAC units that are not professionally maintained last about 6 years less on average. So, HVAC maintenance is actually ensuring that I receive the total value for my HVAC investment. While it may appear as though I’m paying something for nothing, I am actually getting a far greater return on the HVAC maintenance. It’s all about finding the value for each dollar spent.
