When I heard that we needed to go on a weekend-long work retreat I was less than excited.
I feel like I know all of my co-workers well enough as it is, and I don’t necessarily like what I see.
I think that they are fine people but I don’t need to spend extra time with them outside of the office. I would much rather be able to attend to my own adult responsibilities and my family. But, I got wrapped into going on this work retreat and decided to make the best of it. Thank God, the rental cabin that we were residing in helped to make that task a lot easier… Mostly by having amazing indoor heating solutions. Now, I don’t think that I would be the sort of person to invest in expensive heating, cooling, and air quality control appliances. I generally get by with my forced air furnace and my AC window units in the house just fine. I rarely have any kind of heating and cooling emergencies that require professional indoor air quality control services. That being said, I am now reconsidering my forced air furnace in the name of radiant heated flooring. This rental house had the most comfortable heated floors I have ever experienced in my life. There were radiant heated floors installed throughout all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Honestly, I spent most of my time on the work retreat enjoying the delightful warmth underneath my toes. You can imagine how embarrassing it was when my boss found me lying on the delightfully warm and toasty radiant heated flooring when it was time to pack up and leave for the week.
