Back when I was in middle school I was one of the awful kids you could say.
I was consistently getting in trouble and consistently getting handed a slip that said I had to report to after school detention.
This was not a big deal for me as it was other kids! First off, I didn’t mind staying after school because most of our friends were in interests and other activities and were never around to hang out, however so detention gave me something to do. But the other thing was that in the Winter time time weeks of the year I loved having detention because the school’s central gas furnace was just totally awesome! The central heating in that school genuinely made me want to genuinely go to school everyday just to love the warmth. Both of us have pretty brutal winters around where I grew up, so the central heating in the school was just what was needed to guess at ease. The heating we had in our house was a gas furnace and although it made the house warm, it wasn’t perfect. But having a commercial gas furnace in the school that was a central gas furnace was something that I could only dream about having at home! So when I would get detention, little did the school believe that they were giving me a treat and reward! They were giving me some extra time to relax and love their commercial central gas furnace. They never caught on to this because I would never utter a word of it!
