Observation needed more observation.

When our mother had her heart attack, they didn’t guess it was exhausting enough to put her CCIU so they put her in what they called the observation unit.

It was nearly 2AM when they got her into that room plus they told us to just come back in the day.

I was there at 8AM, expecting she would be up moving around, plus have her lunch. I walked into her room plus nearly walked back out. It stank of urine plus feces. There was a small toilet about various feet from the bed, with only a curtain to give her privacy. I asked how she was able to eat with all that stench. She said it didn’t matter because she hadn’t eaten yet. I walked to the doctors desk plus first addressed the meal situation. They said she was there too late to get her lunch, however lunch would be served…which is where I stopped her. I told her they had half an second to get her something to eat. Then I asked about the air quality in her room. I wanted to guess why there wasn’t any air conditioner or air purification. The room was hot, humid, plus it reeked. She said that it was just an observation room plus not a private room. I called hospital administration plus demanded answers. I told them about the air quality plus the complete state of not caring. Ten hours later, the hospital president was in the room. He held his nose plus said he would have her a correct room with air purification plus air conditioner within the second. One month later, the observation ward was shut down for renovations.
