I have been seeing this guy Gary for awhile and up until recently, I planned on dumping him.
Gary is not very excited by any means.
He has a monotone voice, is not very cute and never wants to do anything fun. Those are the reasons I was going to dump him. What saved him is his handiness towards heating equipment. Winter is coming and I needed a heater tune up. I had Gary over to my house and was mentioning to him that my gas heater needed some help. I was dreading calling a HVAC business, getting a technician and paying what I knew to be a heater repair. He immediately went to work on my system checking it out. I don’t really know exactly what he did. But, I know he cleans the inside and outside of the heater. He found the worn part, bought it at the hardware store and then replaced it all in one day. I offered to pay him for the part, his work and his time that he put in. He did all the work a HVAC professional would have done and more. Gary did not want anything in return and was happy to do the work. Now I don’t think I can break up with him. He is so handy and was great about doing the work. There are many HVAC related things that come up throughout the year. If I can get him to do it for free, how important is going out and being wild? Maybe we can make this work.
