I really try to keep myself uninvolved in other people’s business.
I don’t feel like I have any right to be poking around at the way that other people live.
However, there are times I am extremely baffled by the things that I see my friends and family doing. I don’t want to express my opinion and hurt their feelings, but it’s very obvious that they make stupid choices. For instance, when I was speaking to my friend a few weeks ago and realized that he must have the highest energy bills on the entire planet. This guy never has extra money, and now I know that it’s because of his heating, cooling, and air quality control system. You see, I was hanging out at my buddy’s house when he mentioned that his furnace was making some strange sounds. I shrugged and told him that the heating system would probably be okay if he continued to change the air filter and arranged his normal heating, cooling, and ventilation maintenance appointment. Surely, his heating and cooling technician would be able to find the issue with his furnace before it became a heating disaster. That’s when my friend looked at me completely confused. He asked what I meant by routine heating, cooling, and ventilation maintenance appointments. That’s when I realized that he has never had a professional furnace or air conditioning system inspection in his entire life. No wonder the guy never has money and his furnace is making strange sounds… He has never given it any professional heating, cooling, and ventilation attention.
