I am back in the office most of the time now, and it is okay, but I wish I would get a new a/c unit, too
Not long ago, the property manager at the office building where I worked told us she was scheduling an HVAC replacement for the unit in my boss’s office. This was fabulous news because the HVAC system has been messed up since the day we moved in – probably before that, of course, but we just weren’t there to now about the crazy heating and cooling. There are actually two HVAC units in the place – one that gives heating and cooling only to my boss’s office, and a second HVAC unit that provides heating and cooling to my office and the reception area of the suite, which no one even works in. Both a/c units have not been working right, so I am not sure why I am not getting a new one, too, but at least I won’t have to listen to my boss complain so much anymore. It was really starting to get old. I know that various people had different reasons for liking or disliking working from home, but the main reason I liked working from home during 2020 was because I got to enjoy decent heating and cooling. I was at my house, so I got to set the thermostat where I like it, and I keep the a/c working well, so wherever I set that thermostat, that is what the temperature would be. It wasn’t as great when the electric bill came in, but even so, I much preferred working from home for that main reason. I am back in the office most of the time now, and it is okay, but I wish I would get a new a/c unit, too. It’s not just his part of the suite that doesn’t have the proper heating and cooling.
