Back in December when my kids first went back to university, they said that there was something wrong with the heating & cooling idea at the university building, then at first I thought that they were just being overly dramatic the way that they are sometimes! My kids are really known for being dramatic & so I thought that they were just saying that there was something wrong with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system… But after mornings & then weeks of them coming home & complaining to myself and others & my spouse about the poor indoor air quality in the university building, I started to know that just maybe there was something to it.
They said that the heating didn’t seem to be toiling right while in the afternoons & then in the mornings, after breakfast, the heating idea would kick in for some reason & it would run full blast until the end of the university day.
Apparently, it’s difficult to stay awake in class anyway, but with the heating pouring in through the heating vents it makes it impossible. I finally found out for sure that they weren’t just exaggerating the problems with the university’s Heating, Ventilation, & A/C idea when my child got detention for falling asleep in her geology class 1 day after breakfast. When I went in to talk to the assistant principal about it, she said that she had kids falling asleep nearly every day in there because the heating idea was torn up & the heat was putting most people to sleep. I don’t know my child deserves detention if it’s the university’s oil furnace’s fault!
