The two of us needed more airflow in the house.

For the last many months, every one of us had been noticing how some of the rooms didn’t get nearly as much cooling action from the central air conditioning, as every one of us did previously.

I talked to the Heating & Air Conditioning contractor & they sent out a specialist.

She checked the central air & said that everything was laboring as it should. The air filter was clean & there were no fissures in the ductwork. She then started asking questions. She wanted to believe if every one of us had made any cosmetic swings in the last year. I told him every one of us had added an in-law suite for my mother-in-law. The Heating & Air Conditioning contractor came out & extended the ductwork so the air conditioning would reach her room. She asked if she could check that section of the house. She explained that the new area of the house was too far away from the Heating & Air Conditioning system to be able to work properly. Although the air conditioning was reaching the suite now, it wasn’t as strong as it should be. She showed me the control equipment in the in-law suite & pointed out that the temperature was only seventy-six. The rest of the house was the same temperature as this area, but she also noticed that the air conditioning had been running non-stop since she got there. That’s when the light came on & I realized the air conditioning had been running almost non-stop. She said the airflow wasn’t as great as it should be because the house was too large for the size air conditioning equipment every one of us now had. Luckily, every one of us had been planning on purchasing a new AC equipment when Summer ended. The two of us just had to get a heavier air conditioning equipment this time.
