The propane heater works really well to heat the RV

The first time in a long time, my wife and I are spending the winter season in a region where the temperatures are cold and there is a small chance of snow. We lived in the South part of the country for 25 years.cWe didn’t see snow unless we went somewhere for vacation. The winter temperatures were in the 60s with an overnight low in the forties. We never had to be concerned about freezing temperatures. When we sold our house and retired, we decided to buy an RV so we could travel around the country. We spent most of our time down south and then we visited the West Coast for a couple of months. We decided to stay in the northern part of the country during the month of January. We were worried about heating the RV when the temperatures were extremely cold and frigid. We even had a couple of nights when there was snow falling on the ground. We were going to use a couple of space heaters to keep the RV warm, but the propane furnace worked very well. We turned the propane furnace on and set the temperature on the thermostat to 70°. We didn’t have to adjust the temperature much at all. The RV only uses a small amount of propane, so it doesn’t cost a fortune to use the furnace every day and night. It takes about a third of a gallon every day, so using propane to heat the RV is actually cheaper than using electricity to heat our old house.
