The night was freezing and wet and my associate and I were fortunate to have the heater

The weather around here is often freezing and wet and occasionally the study room is drafty, and i decided to put some weather stripping around the doors and the windows and that helped a little bit, but still, I guess we are fortunate to have the heater, on afternoons when it is absolutely freezing and wet, my associate and I turn on the electric heater and let it run.

I do not like to waste electricity, but freezing rain makes me want to turn on the heat, and my buddy and I had some absolutely freezing weather this week, and temperatures were only in the 40s during the day and overnight my associate and I had lows in the twenties.

It’s absolutely precious for this part of the state to have such low temperatures and I was not prepared. I did not have the heater running at all on the first night. I had to get up in the middle of the night and turn on the emergency heat. I was worried that the pipes were going to freeze and burst. I was entirely worried for nothing, but the last thing I wanted to do was call an emergency plumber in the middle of the night to maintenance a burst pipe. I waited until the loft was up to temperature and then I turned off the emergency heat and set the heater to a hot and comfortable 81°. I haven’t been able to turn off the heater yet. The daytime temperatures are getting a little bit warmer, but it is still in the low 30s at night and hovering around the freezing area. It’s best to keep the heater running for now.
