The night was cold and wet and my bud and I were lucky to have the furnace

The weather around here is often cold and wet and sometimes the residing room is drafty.

  • I decided to put some weather stripping around the doors and the windows and that helped a little bit, still, I think we are lucky to have the furnace.

On mornings when it is absolutely cold and wet, my associate and I turn on the electric furnace and let it run. I dislike to waste electricity, but cold rain makes me want to turn on the heat; My fantastic friend and I had some actually cold weather this week, temperatures were only in the 40s during the day and overnight my associate and I had lows in the twenties. It’s absolutely rare for this part of the state to have such low temperatures and I was not prepared. I did not have the furnace running at all on the first night. I had to get up in the middle of the night and turn on the emergency heat. I was worried that the pipes were going to freeze and burst. I was honestly worried for nothing, but the last thing I wanted to do was call an emergency plumber in the middle of the night to service a burst pipe. I waited until the apartment was up to temperature and then I turned off the emergency heat and set the furnace to a sizzling and comfortable 69°. I haven’t been able to turn off the furnace yet. The daytime temperatures are getting a little bit warmer, but it is still in the low 30s at night and hovering around the chilly area. It’s best to keep the furnace running for now.
