There is a strict policy at our company that both of us do not complete any service work unless there is an adult over the age of 18 years aged in the house.
The people I was with and I had a couple of problems numerous years ago plus both of us had to start strictly enforcing the policy to cover our corporation.
A few weeks ago, a lady called me to schedule a service on the A/C in her apartment. The lady sounded legitimately young. She tried to tell me that she was going to use her parent’s debit card to spend money for the repairs. I told the lady that I needed a verifiable adult in the house. She took a small pause plus then she said that would not be a problem. I sent 1 of the new men over to the address, because I knew it was a great way to test the guy on the policy both of us have in place. The worker called me about twenty minutes later. The homeowner wasn’t home plus the person trying to use the debit card looked care about she was twelve years old. The girl was trying to pass off a neighbor as the owner of the home, however the guy did not have an ID to match the name on the debit card. I told the worker to stay there plus I met him at the address. After talking with the girl plus the neighbor, I found out that the girl is frequently left alone while her mom is out of town with multiple men. She leaves a debit card for groceries plus emergencies plus the girl did not have any A/C in the apartment.
