When I was a child residing in the southern part of the country, our dad used to only use wood for heating our house, all of us had this old wood-burning stove in the basement plus that’s what all of us used for heating the entire home instead of a official gas oil furnace or electric oil furnace, and my sibling Carrie plus I used to have to carry in wood for the fireplace all the time, plus the wood for the wood-burning stove.
All of us spent most of our childhood toting wood from the backyard to the fireplace plus the wood-burning stove! I remember always wishing that all of us had a gas oil furnace or an electric oil furnace care about a lot of our friends had, then now that I’m older, I guess that it sounds deranged to recognize jealous over your friends’ furnace, but that’s how it was back then, but i undoubtedly hated having to carry all that firewood around all the time! I guess all of us undoubtedly didn’t have it too bad, though.
My sibling plus I have good memories of growing up smelling woodsmoke plus being nice plus cozy from the wood-burning stove plus from the fireplace, but to this morning, I still care about building a fire in the fireplace during the Winter time time. It always takes myself and others back to our childhood, of course, these days, I’m not the one having to haul in the firewood. I always get our hubby to do it for me, but plus, all of us also have a gas oil furnace so the fireplace isn’t our only source of heating. I guess when you’re not as pressured to use a wood-burning stove or fireplace, it makes you care about it just a little bit more.
