The insane bill made Jerom turn off the heating and AC unit

The energy audit led Jerome back to his home’s insulation which the cooling business had said was efficient, so he was left in a dilemma and scared about the next month’s energy bill

The bill Jerom got in the second month of summer time ’22 almost pushed him to turn off the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit. The bill was insane! He remembers how he reacted upon learning the amount he was expected to spend for a month’s use. The only change Jerom had made to his consumption habits was turning up the cooling unit to get better weather conditions control and improve indoor air quality, especially during the afternoon since he was at home. The youngsters were off school for the holidays, and the adults worked from home. Jerom did have the HVAC system running a lot more than it does during other seasons, but the bill he got was way higher than in previous years. He kept up with Heating, Ventilation, and A/C maintenance. The HVAC specialist regularly changed each air filter and cleaned the vents, leaving the cooling machine free of anything that would make it more inefficient. So, it did not make sense why Jerome had such a high bill. He contacted the HVAC expert for a random check on the energy efficiency capacity of his cooling technology to see if any lapses would impact his energy consumption, but there was nothing. The AC specialist advised that he has an energy auditor check the entire house for him before making any quick decisions regarding his home’s AC service equipment. The energy audit led Jerome back to his home’s insulation which the cooling business had said was efficient, so he was left in a dilemma and scared about the next month’s energy bill. Jerome didn’t change anything, and it went back to the official cost. He still wonders whether they made a mistake.
