The flu

There has been a terrible flu going around for a couple of months now.

It is knocking out everyone I know and I am trying my best not to get sick.

I don’t want to have to miss work or anything like that. When my kids get in the car I make sure to have them wipe of their hands and faces so they don’t bring any germs home with them. However, as hard as I tried, I could not keep the flu from coming into our home and within two days our whole house was sick. No one could leave bed and we were all coughing and sneezing. My husband had the worst case and I ended up having to drive him to the hospital. The nurse said he would be out of work for at least three weeks. I love my husband but when he gets sick he starts to act like a child. Worst of all he makes me keep the thermostat in the house set to sixty-five degrees all day long. The kids and I are freezing to death because the air conditioner is blasting, but my husband loves it. He would have the air conditioner set to sixty if I would let him. However, I hate the cold and I wish we had the heater running. I hate being sick, but being sick and cold is the worst feeling in the world to me. I guess I will have to endure the air conditioning while my husband gets better and hope he doesn’t get used to the thermostat being set so low.
