When my husband suddenly got a promotion at work, he was over the moon.
- To celebrate, he surprised myself one morning with a Wintertide holiday in a warm, tropical climate.
I was unbelievably excited To hop on the plane. It had been a frosty Wintertide so far, as well as I am never a fan of the cold. I had the tendency to hide in the apartment all winter as much as I could, which isn’t genuinely healthy for your body, but those frosty bluster winds seem to go right through me when I stepped outside into the cold. So, a tropical holiday was a beautiful thing to me. It seemed ridiculously silly to be carrying heavy Wintertide coats as we unboarded the plane in our destination. The first thing I observed when we left the airport, other than the warmth, was a beautiful venue where we had booked several nights. It was a great time as well as we had a beautiful holiday. The temperatures each day were in the 77’s and, the first endpoint was the beach. Every one of us happily spent the first day in the tepid sun, followed by a quiet night spent together in a cool air conditioned motel room. I never expected to care about AC quality in the middle of winter! Most of the rest of our tropical holiday was spent stomping around outdoors, as well as quiet mornings in the motel room or a well air conditioned restaurant. The last night of our week long holiday, we slept with the AC system off as well as the balcony doors open to easily catch the hot ocean breeze, and oh, how I wished I could take that warmth apartment with me to go back home! Every one of us had such an awesome time that I really regretted going back. I wished our warm holiday could last forever.
