I have lived in the same house my whole life.
It was my grandparents, then my parents and now it is mine.
I have always wanted to raise my family in this home because it holds so many fond memories for me. I love this house so much and my family has had a lot of preventative work done on it to keep it running properly over the years. The house is over one hundred years old and still looks almost brand new. We have expanded a little since we moved in only because our family is growing quickly and I don’t want to outgrow the house. I really want to live here until I give the house to my children one day. One morning right after we finished our last expansion project, I woke up to the house feeling particularly warm. Our HVAC system had just been replaced so I was confused why the house felt warm. I look at our thermostat and the temperature was set at 72 degrees. So I called my HVAC technician so he could come and take a look and hopefully figure out the issue. He came out immediately and said the problem wasn’t with our air conditioning system, but with radiant heat coming from the floor. I knew my parents had radiant flooring install several years ago, but we never used it because we were satisfied with just having the furnace one. Apparently, the HVAC technician that installed the radiant flooring years ago did not install it properly and it was going out of whack. So now we have to pay a fortune to have the radiant flooring taken out.
