I pretty much hit the bottom a few months ago and have been riding down in the depths since then, but I’ve noticed a shift taking place recently.
It was all I could do to go to work each day at the local business as an HVAC specialist. I’ve started to come out of this rut that I’ve been soaking in for what seems like an eternity and feel that I am ready for a new beginning. I had so many bad things hit me in such a short time that I no longer had the energy to go through my days like I once had. I guess life can hit you with things in waves like this. My air conditioning repair job has been the only stable thing in my life when everything else fell apart. I lost my dad, girlfriend, inheritance, health, all in the matter of less than a year and it really affected me greatly. I’m finally now accepting these losses and feel like I am ready to move ahead to better times. I think tonight or tomorrow night I am going to bring my sound system to the beach and play some drums and sing with my friends. Playing music like this puts me in a place where there is no sorrow or pain but only the joy of doing something I truly love. The HVAC company has been so good to me in this difficult time and I owe them everything for keeping me on board when I was barely making it through the workday.
