When people hear of me, they immediately think that I am an HVAC technician.
- In my opinion, that is a fair guess.
In fact, if I didn’t know better, I would assume that I am an HVAC technician. Since I know so much about different HVAC units and how they work, people would probably guess that I know how to fix them as well. However, that is not the case. I work for a company that produces and sells HVAC units for the United States. It is our job to focus on selling the best HVAC units that we have to offer while also learning and figuring out ways to improve HVAC units to make them more powerful, efficient, and affordable. A hundred years ago, when HVAC units started being manufactured, they were large, inefficient, and very expensive. Most people couldn’t afford these new HVAC units, which means that only the wealthy were able to try out HVAC technology. Companies like mine decided that it would be better if all citizens had the opportunity to use these new HVAC units that would eventually replace the woodstoves and the fireplaces. Citizens should be able to have air conditioners in their homes to make them comfortable. These companies began to hire HVAC experts like me who would be willing to take risks and try new things in order to make this dream possible. Through efforts of people like me, you have furnaces and air conditioners in nearly every home in our great nation. I may not be able to fix your furnace, but I can make sure that you have one.
