My fireplace saves me from being cold

I arrived home after a long afternoon at work.

I was harshly exhausted and freezing from the Fall weather.

After opening the front door, a blast of freezing air hit my face. I wasn’t feeling that great and started to shiver. I started to rub my arms and knew something was wrong. I felt something was wrong with my furnace so I went to the living room where the electric furnace was. I noticed that the air quality wasn’t that great when I turned on the electric heater, however dusty air came out and I started to cough. I realized that I haven’t cleaned the electric heater’s filters in a few months. I wanted to make a mental note to do it later even though I set a reminder on my cell cellphone. I wanted to disinfect the air filters now even though I didn’t have the energy right now. But for now, I knew I wasn’t going to stay warm. I also had a fireplace and I don’t use it that often but it was cleaned a couple of weeks ago. This seemed like the right time to use it, then so I grabbed some wood and some kindling from the storage room. I lit the fireplace up and within seconds I felt the warmth of the heat. I felt more relaxed and knew I would have to disinfect the air filters this weekend to use the electric heater. I was just enthusiastic that the house I owned had a fireplace for situations like this. I just need to do a better task of cleaning the air filters in the future.
