My climate control system isn’t cold itself but it makes it cold in the house by putting out cold air in a miraculous way.
I love putting my face in front of the vent after coming in from a hot bike ride along the paseo and feeling the cold air cool me down.
I do the opposite in the winter time when I go for my ice cold water dips and come home for a hot 20 minute bath. I’m getting a roommate but I am going to have to let her know that I will need the bathtub when I come home from my dips to warm my body up as water heats you, and cools you, 27 times faster than air does. I stumbled into the local business last winter, where I dip, suffering from hypothermia and fighting to stay conscious. I was in stage three of four stages and the paramedics told me if I stayed in the water another 20 minutes or so that I would have gone unconscious and drowned, as I was all alone that cold gray winter morning for my swim. I have a few space heaters now in my flat to keep it nice and warm for me when I come home from my swims. I will keep doing them but will limit my time in the 50F water to under 15 minutes. You can’t stay in water that cold for long or your body will keep cooling down to the point where it no longer functions. I think part of me did die in the sea that day.
