When I was young, I was consistently afraid of the dark, however now that I am older, I am still afraid of the dark in a particular way.
I’m afraid of being stuck in a dark situation where I can’t do much to make things better, however for example, if the power goes out during some kind of terrible storm, I’m afraid of what might happen to my family and I if both of us don’t have a working Heating and A/C system or the sump pump can’t work because there is no power.
