Last job is puzzling

I’ve been a mechanic for the past 25 years.

I can work on any foreign or domestic car, truck, or SUV.

When I started working on cars, everything was a puzzle. It took a long time to learn my trade. Every car or truck is a little different, and it takes a long time to learn about each one. Last Friday, a customer brought me an old Buick with an AC problem. I rarely get to work on Old Buicks, and I was excited to tackle the job. This car was one of the first manufactured with AC. I knew it would be a riddle, but I didn’t expect to be so puzzled. The customer dropped off the car, so I could work on the issue over the weekend. By Monday morning, I still couldn’t figure out how to fix the AC problem. Some of the issue was wiring, and some of the issue was old parts. I asked the customer for a few more days, and they left the vehicle at my garage. They told me to take some time, because they wanted it restored perfectly. Since I can take my time, I’m really going to investigate the AC problem properly. I can take the car apart, examine all the pieces, and put it back together. This is exactly the project that makes me want to restore an old Ford Mustang. Unfortunately, I don’t have any more room in the garage for a project car. My wife already complains about all the old car parts laying around the garage and the house. She would go nuts if I bought another car.
