It’s nice to know that space heaters are being made safer and safer these days

I hate having to worry about fire when I leave the house.

It’s such a gamble to install a sprinkler system, but sometimes I wonder if that’s the route I should take like they do in many large condominium buildings.

That way a whole building doesn’t go down just because a fire started in one single unit. On the other hand, you could cause tens of thousands of dollars in water damage just from a false alarm with cooking smoke or something similar. That’s why I don’t necessarily think having a sprinkler system is a good idea in a residence, regardless of the safety reasons for having it in the first place. I was much more worried when I was using those old space heaters of ours that didn’t have any safety features built in. Unlike the newer space heaters that have tip-over switches installed to kill the power if the device falls over, the older space heaters would keep on running even if they caught on fire. Some of the modern space heaters have safety switches that also kill the power when they detect the heater getting up to a dangerous temperature. That way you can be confident that the space heater will turn itself off before becoming a deadly force to be reckoned with. And that way I don’t have to worry nearly as much while I’m using one to stay warm in the living room or bedroom at the foot of my large queen sized bed. My space heater has radiant quartz heating rods in its chassis, which provide strong, on demand heat whenever you need it the most.
