It's easier to survive these Winters with really good heating inside

I live in a fairly Northern climate.

We have a lot of dense pine forests in my area.

My family has a cabin near a lake towards the northern end of the state. We love to go visiting the cabin throughout the year during vacations. My parents have even offered to let me borrow the cabin for weekend trips if I end up meeting someone special within the next few years. However, I’m focused on myself, my job, and my school work. It’s hard surviving in this climate during the winter season because it costs so much money to run indoor heat. No matter what kind of furnace you’re using you’re probably going to be spending a large amount of money on winter heating costs every year. I have considered looking for a different job and another state where there’s a climate that doesn’t require constant indoor heat usage. However, I’m not so sure if I would be happier moving across the country just for cheaper HVAC expenses. Plus, I have a really good heating system inside my current home and I’m happy with its performance. It keeps me really warm throughout the cold winter season, even when we get extreme blizzards and temperatures as far as -30 degrees fahrenheit. As long as I could make more money and have more to spend on energy bills, I probably wouldn’t be nearly as miserable as I am now. A lot of it comes from stressing over the budgeting and all of the expenses related to Winter heating. I just need lower electricity bills so I’m not living paycheck to paycheck.
