It was not easy to notice at first, but it seemed like over time, the heating and cooling efficiency at home dropped.
This was quite confusing, because mom and dad’s Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment was nowhere near old.
So why the drop efficiency? Well, this was not a matter they could figure out themselves, so they decided that it would be best if they contacted the heating and A/C professionals. When the A/C tech came out to their lake house, he told them the issue was evident. For a moment mom and dad panicked and thought for sure it was an issue with the heating system or A/C. But no, it was just an issue with the ductwork. Nothing terrible, might I add, it was just some holes in the ductwork that were causing the issue. Thankfully, this was a fairly simple fix, and the heating and A/C specialist was able to patch up the holes within three hours. The heated air was escaping through these holes, and so that explained why mom and dad’s lake house wasn’t heating or cooling as fast as it used to. But now with the holes patched up, the Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment will be able to heat and cool like usual. They’re glad they discovered this, because those holes were causing their A/C device to overwork itself, which can shorten its lifespan and cause disfigurement. Dad and mom were surprised that everything was as simple as it was, they were expecting a higher repair bill. They’re just glad that their ductwork is repaired now.
