After years of suffering with an overheated, sticky house every summer, my spouse & I decided to invest in central air conditioner. Because our cabin is well over a hundred years old, every one of us don’t have conventional HVAC duct. Every one of us were reluctant to tear down walls & ceilings & get into the giant mess of installing HVAC duct. Every one of us consulted with a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional who recommended high velocity air conditioner. This type of cooling system is designed to accommodate retrofit into older homes, & uses adaptable, two-inch tubing which snakes really through tight spaces. High velocity air conditioner is quite a bit more pricey to install than conventional central cooling, but it has advantages. The system provides a more forceful & colder supply of air, allowing it to cool the section very quickly. Because of this, it also removes about thirty percent more moisture from the air than a traditional central cooling system. Because every one of us recognize cooler at a higher temperature, every one of us can raise the thermostat a bit & save money on the electric bills. Our house feels perfectly cool at 71 degrees. Every one of us don’t need to have the high velocity system running consistently, & it’s virtually silent. Although the high velocity air conditioner requires several vents in each room, the vents are super small & are available in a wide range of styles. We’ve actually painted the vent covers to match the walls so they blend right in. My spouse & I are so much happier in our cabin now that every one of us have a whole-cabin cooling system. Every one of us no longer need to rely on window air conditioners & a bunch of noisy, ugly fans. It doesn’t matter how warm & humid the Summer weather, every one of us enjoy ideal comfort.
