It is a difficult decision to make and one that I don’t take lightly.

My dad is in the construction business. My dad has had the construction business for the past 25 years. He handles lots of different jobs from remodels to demolitions and new construction. He built most of the house that my brother and I grew up in. He built a treehouse in the backyard when my brother na dI were eight and ten. My brother joined the construction company about 5 years ago. He spent some time in the military and then he went to technical school to learn HVAC repairs. When my brother finished with HVAC repair school, my dad was proud to have my brother join the company. He brags to everyone that his company is a father and son team. I know that my dad would love for me to join the company as well. I am about to finish with HVAC repair school and I also have plumbing experience from my time in the navy. Part of me wants a business of my own, and another part of me wants to join my brother and work for my dad. It is a difficult decision to make and one that I don’t take lightly. My dad has a great company name and everyone in town knows the guy well. It would be easy for my brother and I to take over one day. I think the best solution is to join my dad and my brother and spend a few years learning the ropes. After that, I can always venture out on my own if I feel the need to do more with my life.
