I wasn’t worried about the ductwork until the Heating & Air Conditioning showed up.

I was doing my annual pre-Winter checks on the house.

The weather-stripping had been upgraded.

I had caulked around the windows, & I had the insulation checked. The last thing on my pre-Winter check was having the furnace cleaned & checked. I called the Heating & Air Conditioning contractor & proposed they send an Heating & Air Conditioning tech to the house & do the furnace inspection. Three afternoons later there was a Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman at my door. She went downstairs, cleaned & checked the furnace, & told me that everything was fine. The Heating & Air Conditioning tech even changed the air filter while she was downstairs. I was gratified to hear that everything was okay, but she had a however at the end of her statement. She told me that she found a small hole in the ductwork & she was going to call the Heating & Air Conditioning dealer. The Heating & Air Conditioning contractor had a team of professionals laboring on ductwork. They would come in & clean & inspect the ductwork. Once the ductwork was cleaned, they would blow a special style of adhesive into the ductwork. The adhesive would attach to the side of the holes & cracks & build up until the fissures were totally closed up. I could just imagine how much it was going to cost me & what kind of mess I was going to need to clean up. When the team was done, I had no mess & the ductwork was in great shape. The cost wasn’t even all that bad. I’m blissful the Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman found that crack. I can only imagine how much heating I would be losing through those small holes & cracks.
