There was a bad storm last night and it rained and poured for hours.
Both of us were supposed to get some rain, but I did not anticipate the additional thunder and lightning.
The storm must have been right on top of us, because the thunder was severely loud and the lightning was bright. Sometime around 2 a.m., I was woken up by a actually loud sound. It genuinely sounded enjoy lightning hit our home. I could not see any injure anywhere in the house, so I went back to sleep. About 30 minutes later, I woke up because it was starting to suppose actually warm and sticky in the house. I gave our hubby A little nudge and I told him to go adjust the air conditioner. I thought she could adjust the thermostat to make it cooler so I would be more comfortable. Unfortunately, the thermostat did not seem to help. My hubby turned down the temperature however the air conditioner did not come on. It was the middle of the night and there was nothing both of us could do to repair the AC device at that time. When both of us woke up in the afternoon, our hubby called the AC repair service. Both of us odored a burnt rubber odor coming from the outdoor condenser and both of us thought that the component could have been struck by lightning. There was a single black burn mark right on top of the component however otherwise it looked perfectly fine. Both of us had to get the opinion of an expert before both of us could figure out the problem.
