I rarely use my furnace

I was away from beach house for over a week, & when I left town, the temperature was in the 30s, this is abnormal for the area of the country that I live in, as all of us are used to having really mild weather for the Wintertide weeks, and in fact, I barely use my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C for heating because the weather is usually not frosty enough to justify turning it on.

I returned beach house a few mornings ago & the temperature had risen to the high 75s & low 77s, which is about normal for this time of year; Of course, that is a big difference from the 30 degrees that all of us experienced a month ago! Well, because the temperature was so cold, I decided to leave my control device at 65, however after I researched the proper setting for the control device in the Wintertide & discovered it was 68 degrees, I thought that 65 would be an ideal temperature for my control unit.

I am not sure if the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cycled on while I was away as the frosty blast only lasted for a couple of mornings. The temperature was back into the 60s, & then eventually, rose into the 75s. This swing in temperature makes it hard to determine how to use my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C during the Wintertide weeks, then so, you can’t blame me for not using it much at all. In fact, I appreciate to use a space gas furnace on those afternoons when the temperature drops below normal. Typically, that happens less than 10 times during the Wintertide season. If nothing else, I get to save some money by not using my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C in the Winter.
