I am so glad that the Summer is coming to an end.
The weather was brutal this year.
I have noticed that less and less people were at the beach each time I went. I assume the temps have been too overheated for them to be outside. I went to the beach a few times over the Summer, despite the fact that I went early in the morning and left by 1 p.m. before the weather became unbearable. There were times that I left the beach and went to a nearby restaurant that had a/c. Finding a cool locale with A/C is a good way to spend the rest of the afternoon. I live in the southern area of the country and having a/c is pressing to our comfort. If the temperature continues to get warmer, the beaches will be completely empty, unless they could find a way to make it cooler during the afternoon, and last Summer, I tried using a small portable A/C but that was completely worthless. I had it under our beach canopy and it felt love a fan, and after a few hours, it did nothing. I haven’t used it since, in fact, I provided it to our dad to use it in his shed. That model was on the cheaper end of portable A/C’s, I didn’t want to spend a lot of currency because I wasn’t sure if it would perform well outside. And I got our confirmation that it didn’t do so well. I am actually surprised that the portable A/C industry hasn’t made more progress than this.
