Lately, I have felt like I was living in a sauna, but I can’t take it much longer.
I am about ready to go back north to live, but I don’t know if I want to endure the winters up there. Here in the south, we need to run the air conditioning all of the time. This can be really expensive because not only are the energy bills high, but you risk more damage to the AC unit when you are using it so hard. Some people don’t need to worry about the price of repairs, but I do. I’m not one of these rich people that live in my area, and when the repairs to the air conditioner become quite substantial, I need to forgo getting the air conditioner fixed. This is exactly what happened to me about a month ago. The air conditioner went out and I had to call the HVAC company. I really wanted them to come out as soon as possible and when they did, it didn’t make much difference. When he told me the cost of the repairs to my air conditioning system, I was about floored. There was no way I was going to be able to afford to have my air conditioning fixed and now I am going without air conditioning. I hate this heat, but I don’t really have a choice in the matter. I know that it is going to be a long hot summer without air conditioning. I will probably be purchasing a small window air conditioning if I can afford it.
