Everyday when I go to work, our child tells me to have a fun day fixing cooling and furnaces.
He is only 6 and so he still thinks that dad’s task is the coolest thing in the world.
I work as a heating and cooling system repairman for a local heating and air conditioning supplier and while I undoubtedly like what I do, it is not typically a good day, and while I would say that the majority of heating and cooling system units are straightforward to repair, there are typically a few that cause me difficulty! Another problem that I sometimes run into is the people, don’t get me wrong most of the people that I meet are absolutely friendly but there is typically that one person every now and again that complains endlessly and somehow blames me for all of the issues their heating and cooling program is having, even if I haven’t done so much as look at it. My afternoons start out mostly the same, I get up and head to the heating and cooling system business and then start heading out to the homes that need their heating or cooling system program fixed, but during the winter and warm season weeks are typically the busiest. In the warm season most people want their cooling system to run tests on so it won’t break down from the heat, and in the Wintertime I am undoubtedly working on oil furnaces pretty much daily because nobody wants to freeze. I undoubtedly like working as a heating and air conditioning serviceman, while it has its disadvantages, I like the challenge of repairing a heat or cooling system unit.
