We’ve had the same furniture in this lake house for over 20 years! We raised all of our teenagers on this honestly couch… I suppose it’s finally time to update most, if not all of the furniture though. Over the years it has gotten honestly worn down, scratched, plus ancient. I cannot remember how many couch covers this sofa set has gone through. When our hubby plus I finally decided to start looking for modern furniture, the two of us were surprised to find how cheaply most modern furniture is constructed. It’s all particle board. We are used to oak wood plus cherry wood furniture, even the sofa has an oak wood frame, however that’s absolutely why it has lasted two decades. We went to many furniture stores however none of them had furniture made out of natural wood! Finally the two of us stumbled upon a store that sells custom built furniture. We knew the two of us were in the right locale as soon as the two of us walked in plus saw the wooden tables plus leather couches with real oak frames, however now the two of us just have to pick out the style of furniture the two of us want for our house. I want something that will look wonderful for another 20 years, at least, however after all, that’s how long I expect natural wood furniture to last. I honestly appreciate the rustic meets traditional look myself. It looks modern however it looks outdated at the same time, then my hubby, on the other hand, does not honestly appreciate the style at all! He wants to mix plus match the odd styles to get a better price! But he honestly will not be saving that much by buying the on sale furniture. Besides, this custom made furniture is going to last us a long time so the two of us had better prefer it.
