I love animals – well, most of them. But I know they are not people and I refuse to treat them as such. My friend has several cats and you would think they are her children. If course, we should be kind to pets, but when they make your environment so much less than it should be, I think a change is demanded. Christine is my dearest friend but I no longer visit her at home. Why? It smells like a dumpster because of the cats. I love my friend and I miss the closeness we once had. So I suggested the use of a functional HVAC unit and, possibly, an air purifier, to improve the smell of the house. I knew she would never get rid of any of the cats so that was the next best thing.
Christine and her cats occupy and older type house which she inherited. I suspect that that the central air conditioning unit there is a;most as old as my friend, so it doesn’t work very well. She had long been complaining how much electricity the old HVAC machine consumed, so this was the perfect time to replace it. I went with her to the HVAC store and looked at the various models and types of HVAC gadgets and units. Finally, Christine decided to purchase another central air conditioner to replace the one she had. The price of that was more to her liking and she already had the necessary ductwork, she reasoned.
A week after my friend’s new HVAC unit was installed, I decided it was time to pay her a visit. I am happy I did. Although a small percentage of the cat related scents still lingered, the change in the air quality was remarkable. I could now breath without without the urge to upchuck. The new HVAC unit and purifier were surely worth their price.
