Free cooling outside

Throughout the entire summer, my boyfriend and I use the crap out of our a/c system, because truly we cannot help it. I simply have no tolerance for heat plus humidity in our living space during the day. The issue isn’t so much that we are combatting the intense day heat, trying to keep the apartment extremely cool as the blaring summer time sun pounds down on the black roof that we have. But it seems to be that the bigger issue for myself is getting our study room to be cold enough at night for me to fall asleep. I am damned with poor insomnia, plus adding any extra heat plus humidity to the mix only exacerbates me not being able to sleep even harder. That’s why I’m obsessed with operating the central cooling plan at a high level at night. Plus not to mention, I keep a separate A/C system installed in our study room to assist with the whole cooling process. It’s not a cheap way to sleep and at times I feel truly guilty for my very particular sleeping arrangements. That’s why I absolutely look forward to the brutally low rapidly changing temperatures of wintertime.  As much as I do not like having to go outside plus living a normal life bundled up in layers, fighting against the falling snow plus freezing windchill, is how I like to fall asleep in the winter. There is nothing more comfortable or restful to me than climbing into a cold bed and slowly having your own body heat to create a snuggly environment beneath the blankets. If I ever happen to get too hot, I don’t have to feel bad about turning down the thermostat to cool off. In fact, I can get my own fix of “AC” in about one hour flat if I just open a window! Wintertime isn’t all that bad with how cold it gets, I love it!
