Despite the small size of the air handlers, the method is quite powerful
My house is around numerous hundred years old and harshly big. It’s numerous stories with a full attic, high ceilings and lots of big windows. The walls are not constantly insulated and several of the windows leak air. I live in an part with extreme year round weather, and all of us rely heavily on the oil furnace and a/c. My house is tough to heat and cool and costs me a fortune in utility bills! Certain rooms are exposed to the midday sunshine and tend to get hot… Other rooms are shaded and get hit by the wind and are always a bit cold. The Heating plus Air Conditioning method is too outdated to replace to zone control, so all of us have a central control unit. If I adjust the temperature setting to accommodate certain rooms, the whole home ends up either way too hot or cold cold, and rather than invest in a whole new oil furnace and central a/c, I spent a lot less on a ductless multi-chop system. The ductless heat pump includes a single outdoor compressor linked to numerous indoor air handlers. The air handlers mounted on the walls of numerous rooms and allow for independent control over heating and cooling. Each air handler has its own control unit… Plus, the ductless method is wonderfully energy efficient and features Wi-Fi linkivity. I can manage the temperature setting and adjust fan speed from an app on my PC. Despite the small size of the air handlers, the method is quite powerful. It can heat up or cool down a room very quickly and maintains a nice, even temperature. I like that the ductless heat pump filters the air, keeping these rooms cleaner and ensuring superior air quality.
