My wife and I decided to adopt a new puppy last month, and she is absolutely driving me crazy.
- She is only 6 months old, and she is still potty training.
I can get her to go outside to pee and poop, but she keeps squatting right next to the AC unit. Last week alone, I stepped in a pile of poop twice. One of those times, I was performing routine maintenance on the AC unit. I was using the leaf blower to remove the tree and leaf debris from the AC unit. We had a tremendous storm and a lot of tree foliage fell in the backyard. I was using the leaf blower and didn’t even see the large pile of dog poop right next to the AC unit. I stepped in the pile, and tracked the stuff all over the side of the deck. I have to find a way to keep the puppy from going to the bathroom on the concrete deck. I know she likes to play in the grass, and I don’t understand why she won’t use the bathroom there. If I have to walk her on a leash, then she will lose out on play time in the backyard. She loves to play Under the orange tree and drink from the pool. She likes to lay in the Sun, and play by the palm trees. I want her to have fun playing outside, but I need to train her to use the grass, leaves, and dirt.
