Dealing with my neighbors' HVAC system

Patricia had been my neighbor for seven years.

She was a kind, cheerful elderly lady that was always ready to give help to anyone who needed it, whether she knew you or not.

I had been helping Patricia and Gil out at their house whenever I was home. She always insisted that we call her Patty or Patricia, not Mrs. Wood. We also called her husband, Gilbert, or Gil. I would do their grocery shopping, supervise any repairs needed in the house, and help in any other way they needed. Patty would make tasty meals and bring them over or have me come over so we could enjoy them together. We were terrific friends, even with the big age difference. Patty and Gil had an aged HVAC unit that had recently received numerous repairs from the local HVAC repairman. I noted this and had an HVAC professional friend look at the HVAC system. The inspection showed that they needed new HVAC equipment. The old one had come to the end of its reign. The HVAC provider recommended we purchase a heat pump with new HVAC technology. They also upgraded the thermostat from a dial-up to a voice-activated wifi regulator. We got the most popular HVAC brand in the market, and the techs began the HVAC installation. I was determined to offer help with indoor comfort in addition to the advice from the experts in the HVAC business. After installing the new quality HVAC system, The Woods and I immediately noticed a change in indoor comfort. The techs also advised them on the importance of HVAC maintenance before they left the premises.
