I told the guy that the a/c was off & he told me to relax & have a beer

Every time I go to a party at the frat house, there is consistently a giant issue & a fight, then when all the guys start drinking, they act like jerks & idiots. I do not particularly appreciate the scene, so I do not attend a lot of the parties. My boyfriend insisted that both of us go to the Springtime party, because our frat house was one of the hosts. I tried numerous weird excuses, however I could not get out of the engagement. When our boyfriend & I arrived at the party, the first thing I observed was a few guys that were already passed out on the front sod. It was only 9:30 & they were already trashed. I walked into the frat house & it felt very boiling & uncomfortable. I thought the a/c was off, so I walked over to the area where the thermostat is located. It was 71 degrees in the house & the a/c wasn’t running. I did not want to get in the middle of anything, however I decided to find one of our siblings so they could address the a/c problem before the indoor hot & cold temperatures were much worse. I found Brad, who is the vice president of our chapter. I told the guy that the a/c was off & he told me to relax & have a beer. I wasn’t going to relax with the indoor hot & cold temperatures boiling & humid, & Brad did not seem like he was interested in fixing the problem with the a/c. I told our boyfriend that he could stay at the party, however I was going back to our home where it was cool, quiet, & comfortable.
