Cat pee is already poor – for the love of god, why in the air vents?

I do not think that anybody will argue with myself and others when I say animal pee is 1 of the most disgusting smells on the face of the planet.

I have had too numerous run-ins with the putrid liquid, after growing up in a household where the people I was with and I had five indoor cats.

Our felines were territorial buttholes, and they insisted on spraying everything in the condo to mark their property. As you can imagine, I do not appreciate the smell or the anecdotes to this day. That’s why, I’m on the verge of giving away our roommate’s cat, whether they appreciate it or not. Not only is this stupid animal peeing in the house, but he has zeroed in on our air vents. I cannot go a single day without chasing him away from the air vents near the floor and out of our room. I wish I could put something on the vents to prevent him from effectively shooting his urine directly into the HVAC ducts, but so far nothing has curbed his hatred of the ventilation system. I’ve had the HVAC ducts cleaned, so I guess he isn’t miserable about a lingering smell in the HVAC itself. The worst part is, since the people I was with and I have a central heating and cooling system, it doesn’t matter which HVAC duct he pees into. Every time our indoor air temperature control plan starts pumping high-priced, high quality treated air through the HVAC duct network, the pungent smell of animal pee floods every room. The only blessing has been our relatively mild outdoor air un-even temperatures. I just hope the people I was with and I figure this mess out before we’re filling the HVAC ducts with boiling air every day.
