The one thing I do not like about window air conditioning systems is that you have to haul these things up the stairs if you want one in your bedroom. This is what I have to do every single summer! I am old school and was not interested in getting central heating and air conditioning when it became affordable to everyone. I feel that central heating and air conditioning costs too much money to run. I have heard horror stories about super high electric bills in the cold winters and hot summers that have actually made people go broke! I will not be one of those people. I have a wonderful gas furnace in my basement that takes care of all my heating in the winter and these window air conditioning systems for the summer. Just bringing them up the stairs is a royal pain in the rear. I remember one time I nearly dropped the window air conditioning system while trying to bring it up to my bedroom. In the living room I have a huge window air conditioning system that more or less cools the entire downstairs minus the kitchen. In there I have a portable air conditioning system to take care of all my cooling needs. It is the time of year again where I need to haul the window air conditioning systems upstairs to the bedroom. I am not looking forward to this. However once they are installed I will have the best indoor comfort because these window air conditioning systems are super powerful and do me and my family great!
