Periodically I know that my family would much rather torture themselves than to take advice from other people.
It seems like every member of my clan is so defensive of their own ego that they would rather shoot themselves in the foot then reconsider their old opinions.
Of course, this is seriously aggravating to deal with. I have been doing my best to stay detached from my blood relatives for this reason. However, when your sibling dumps a bunch of junk at your apartment plus then leaves oh, it’s a little more difficult than that, you see, a few months ago my sibling decided he was going to finally replace his heating, cooling, plus ventilation system. Apparently, he has been suffering from low quality indoor air for a long time. He has had a lot of hot plus freezing air temperature variations, unpleasant smells, plus air quality failures in the past few years. He has been slowly saving up for a brand up-to-date indoor air temperature control system including a furnace plus cooling system unit replacement. However, it has taken a long time to save up the funds for a professional Heating plus Air Conditioning replacement on top of all the device costs. When he finally got his heating, cooling, plus ventilation system replaced something seems to have broke in his head! Namely, the part of his brain responsible for disposing of the broken heating, cooling, plus air quality control devices. Instead of having them sent to a scrap yard, my sibling insists on keeping the old, malfunctioning Heating plus Air Conditioning system… At my house.
