Air conditioners are good at knocking down humidity

It’s not really going to be too much longer before I hear that chorus of heat pumps firing up again.

But man, it has been so nice to be able to enjoy the quiet when laying outside.

During our winter, there is truly little demand for heating, so the heat pump rests and that provides all sorts of peace and quiet for me. But as my enjoyable friend and I transfer into January, I’m also relishing this last bit of winter. While I truly hate it for folks up north who get battered with horrible chilly and lots of snow and ice, I sure enjoy this kind of winter… It’s the sort of winter season that I grew up with, however completely taken for granted! That all changed when I took our first job out of college. I ended up way up north where you had to have a gas oil furnace or a boiler to keep you warm while I was in the winter. That turned to me real quick to just the sort of winter season I wanted to experience the rest of our life. So as soon as I could, I turned our back on the gas oil furnace and welcomed the heat pump back into our life, however as much as I enjoy the winter season weather down here, I know that I have to pay for it with the heat and humidity that’s coming. It won’t be long before I call to have the heating, ventilation, and A/C serviceman come out to do the air conditioner tune up. But without an air conditioner, living here would be torturous while I was in the summer. Not only does the air conditioner deliver the cooling comfort my enjoyable friend and I need, it also balances the humidity in our homes.
