Agricultural Buildings at the Fair

There are buildings that have heating and cooling built in.

Does every city have fairgrounds? When I was young farther south in the state, our county didn’t really have fairgrounds. There was some unused land way far away from where people lived, and everyone called it the fairgrounds, but it was just empty land. There were no bathrooms, agricultural buildings, or air conditioning. Nonetheless, the fair would set up there every year, and if you wanted a/c you were out of luck. If you needed a bathroom, it was even worse because you had to use a porta-potty. Well, the area down there has grown so much that there are now houses, schools, and shops where the fairgrounds used to be, and the county has designated fairgrounds. It has permanent buildings with HVAC for the agricultural portion of the fair, restrooms with air conditioning and heating, a building with a huge commercial kitchen and heating and cooling. The empty land is where the carnival booths go and where the rides are set up. It is really quite nice. The same is true where I live now. We, too, have fairgrounds. It is not as nice as the one in my home county down south, but it is nice. There are buildings that have heating and cooling built in. There are restrooms with a/c, and there is a really pretty location with a white tent that some people use for weddings. Even the tent can accommodate air conditioning, but the bride and groom have to contact the HVAC company to set that up if they want it. It isn’t permanent. Anyway, the addition of heating and cooling allows the fairgrounds to be used for lots of things instead of only getting used once a year when the fair comes to town.
