My cousin Gianna had to have a lung transplant a couple of months ago. She had been sick for a particularly long time, & he finally was able to find a transplant on the donor transplant list. I was pretty gleeful for his & his family, because looking for a transplant was a long, time-consuming process. It was also particularly stressful for Gianna & for his parents, especially. Well, the hospital was particularly great at taking care of his & the doctors & dentists were all awesome. The only real complaint that any of us had about the whole process was something trivial. The two of us all hated the Heating & A/C plan at the hospital where Gianna was having the transplant done. It sounds kind of stupid, but the fact was that whenever any of us were in the waiting room waiting for news on Gianna or one of his more than 2 surgeries, the heating & the air conditioning in the waiting room was typically giving us fits. Either the air conditioning system was turned up way too high & the people I was with and I were all freezing, or the heating was turned on too high & the people I was with and I felt love the people I was with and I were smothering inside of a furnace. There was no zone control heating & cooling in the waiting area, either, even though it was a unquestionably immense space. I think love a hospital that’s the size of the one Gianna had his surgery in should spend a little bit more money on an current, state of the art Heating & A/C system. It would absolutely help with their patients & family satisfaction ratings!
