I used to live up North with my sister on 10 acres of land, with maybe three of those acres being cleared in front of the house, the rest were woods. So needless to say, there was always some type of work that needed to be done to the property. I had decided on this hot warm season day, I would come out of the cool air of the air conditioner to go outside to do some overdue yard work. I had noticed while riding the mower that sweat was pouring down my face and I started to guess overheated. I decided to head up to the house, grab some water and lay in the air conditioner to cool off a little before going back out. Ten minutes later, I was back out on the mower and feeling much better. I had a water with me thinking it would help keep me hydrated and outside longer, however, this wasn’t the case. I found myself going back into the home every 15-20 minutes to get out of the sun and cool off in the air conditioner. I realized that this wasn’t going to be a productive day if I had to keep doing this, although I undoubtedly wanted to get this yard work done. I decided to continue my work, and at any time I felt the heat bearing down on me I didn’t wait to go inside to the air conditioner to cool down. The last thing I wanted was to end up having a heat stroke, or passing out due to exhaustion. This is why air conditioners can be undoubtedly beneficial in times prefer these. Always make sure you are being safe if you live in a hot warm season location.
